No Jasprit Bumrah As Hardik Pandya Wins The Toss And Opts To Bowl At Wankhede

In the 67th IPL game, Hardik Pandya and Co have won the toss and opted to bowl first against Lucknow Super Giants at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium. 

Hardik Pandya announced that Jasprit Bumrah and Tilak Varma will be missing this game and in his place Arjun Tendulkar and Dewald Brevis replaces Tim David in the playing XI. LSG's skipper, KL announced that Quinton de Kock will be missing out and Devdutt Padikkal will replace him along with Matt Henry who will come in place of Naveen ul-Haq.

MI vs LSG: Captain's Thoughts

Hardik Pandya (Mumbai Indians Captain): "We are going to bowl first. Chasing is always better here. The ball comes nicely in the evening. It's always about playing for the badge and pride. All those words are very important in the group. 

What character we bring out is also important. Winning and playing good cricket will be appreciated. It gives us more freedom to go out there and express ourselves and try to play a good game of cricket. Not much to think about. Couple of changes, Jassi is not there so Arjun plays. Tilak has an injury so he misses out and Brevis comes in. Tim misses out and someone comes in."

KL Rahul (Lucknow Super Giants Captain): "Quinton misses out. Devdutt Padikkal comes in. Matt Henry comes in. These are the big changes. We will look at using the Impact Player.

Generally, it's a good batting wicket. But in the last few games, there is something in the wicket. We will look how it behaves after the first six overs and take it from there. We are disappointed. We started off really well in this season. A couple of weeks ago, we were sitting comfortably in the top four. But a couple of games lost and we couldn't turn things around. That's how this tournament is. But it's an opportunity for us today to come out and play our best cricket and entertain the crowd."
