The Eliminator clash of the Maharashtra Premier League (MPL) 2023 season will be played between Eagle Nashik Titans and Puneri Bappa. The two sides finished the league stage at number three and four on the points table, respectively, and they will now face each other in a bid to punch their tickets for the second qualifier of the competition.
Eagle Nashik Titans pocketed three wins from their five league fixtures, including a last-ball triumph over the Puneri Bappa. Considering their superior head-to-head record, the win against PB will give them a slight edge going into the eliminator.
The Titans launched their tournament campaign with three emphatic wins upfront. However, their crusade got disrupted by a defeat to table-toppers Ratnagiri Jets. The Titans also lost their final league fixture, where a stronger Kolhapur Tuskers unit mercilessly tossed them around.
Puneri Bappa, on the other hand, have secured two wins from their five league games. Much like the Titans, they also started out their campaign with confident wins upfront before losing momentum in the second half of the league stage. The Puneri Bappa side, as of now, is on a three-game winless streak.
