On Sunday, England incurred a 2-0 series defeat, losing their second consecutive T20I match against Bangladesh in Dhaka. However, despite his team's poor outing, skipper Jos Buttler defended his troops and the team's experimental selection.

Bangladesh successfully managed to seal their win after winning their inaugural match followed by their four wicket win on Sunday.

In the post-match presentation, Buttler emphasised exposing the fresh faces to the subcontinental conditions, where they will play the ODI World Cup later this year.

Supporting Team England,  Buttler said:

"I think we need to give exposure to guys, especially who, in these conditions, also will probably play a part in the 50-over World Cup. Felt like a great chance to expose the all-rounders' batting, maybe one spot higher than they may be in a normal team," as quoted by The Daily Star.

With the upcoming 50-over World Cup scheduled in similar conditions in India, the England Cricket Team, known to be fearless and merciless in white ball cricket, has to undoubtedly put their best foot forward.

Bangladesh managed to reach their target of mere 117 runs with an over to spare. However, Buttler continued to appreciate the bowlers and said,

"On another day we'll probably pick up a couple more wickets in those middle overs and thought we did well to sort of put so much pressure on Bangladesh."

Having already lost the series, England would look to salvage their pride by winning the third dead rubber against Bangladesh in Dhaka.
