Rajasthan Royals will go head-to-head against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 60th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 on Sunday, May 14 at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.

With the IPL 2023 season nearing its climax, the race for the top four spots is heating up. Rajasthan Royals have won six of their 12 matches and currently occupy fourth place in the points table. Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore have won five of their 11 matches and are placed sixth.

With a host of some top-class T20 stars in their respective lineups, the upcoming match between these two teams is sure to be a gripping contest. However before we delve into it, let's take a look at the predicted playing XIs for both teams:

Rajasthan Royals

Openers: Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Jos Buttler

Rajasthan Royals are unlikely to experiment with their opening pair of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler, who have both been consistent performers this season. Jaiswal has already scored 575 runs in 12 matches at a strike rate of around 168, while Buttler has also been in fine form, amassing 392 runs in 12 appearances. The duo will be eager to give their team another solid start in the upcoming match.

Middle Order: Sanju Samson (c & wk), Joe Root, Dhruv Jurel, Shimron Hetmyer

With Captain Sanju Samson leading the way, Rajasthan Royals' middle order has been impressive this season. Joe Root has not got the opportunity to pull out his timber while the team will need more consistent performances from Dhruv Jurel and Shimron Hetmyer to contribute to the team's success.

Bowlers: Ravichandran Ashwin, Trent Boult, Sandeep Sharma, KM Asif, Yuzvendra Chahal

Rajasthan Royals have been blessed with a formidable bowling attack this season, with Trent Boult proving to be a nightmare for the opposition with his fierce pace bowling in the powerplay.

Sandeep Sharma has been consistently delivering in the death overs, while Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal have been a force to reckon with in the spin department, bamboozling the opposition batters.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

Openers: Faf du Plessis, and Virat Kohli

Royal Challengers Bangalore's opening duo of Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli have been putting on a clinic this season, causing mayhem for the opposition. The South African batter, especially, has been on fire, leading the scoring charts of the tournament with a staggering 576 runs in 11 matches, while Virat Kohli has scored 420 runs in 11 appearances.

Middle Order: Anuj Rawat, Glenn Maxwell, Mahipal Lomror, Dinesh Karthik (wk)

Their middle order is a strong suit, boasting the likes of Glenn Maxwell, Anuj Rawat, Dinesh Karthik, and Mahipal Lormor. Glenn Maxwell was in top form in the last match and the team will be hoping he carries that momentum into this match as well. Dinesh Karthik has rediscovered his mojo while Anuj Rawat is yet to make a significant impact with the bat.

Bowlers: Wanindu Hasaranga, Harshal Patel, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Mohammed Siraj, Josh Hazlewood

Royal Challengers Bangalore have a formidable bowling attack, with Wanindu Hasaranga, Josh Hazlewood, Harshal Patel, and Mohammed Siraj among their ranks.

However, their recent performances have been dismal, with most of the bowlers struggling to contain the opposition. As they prepare to face the Rajasthan Royals, they need to bring their best game and find ways to outsmart the strong batting lineup of their opponents.
