GT vs MI | Suryakumar Yadav Smashes 5th Fifty in IPL 2023 ; Keeps MI In the Chase

Suryakumar Yadav has been in scintillating form in IPL 2023 and has helped MI chase down some mammoth 200-plus totals this season. However, in the Qualifier 2, MI need something more than special from SKY to pull off a win. MI need to chase down a target of 234 to win against GT and they need SKY to fire all guns blazing, if they want to create history.

He has done well to keep MI in the chase so far and has hit his 5th fifty of the season. He took 33 balls to get to his fifty and he needs to play a blinder here to take MI over the line. However, at the time of writing, MI have already lost four wickets with quality players like Rohit Sharma, Green, Tilak Varma and Nehal Wadhera all back to the pavilion. Kishan did not come out to bat because of a freak injury near his eye and Vishnu Vinod replaced him as a concussion substitute.

Shami has picked two wickets while the Afghan spin duo has picked one wicket each. At the time of writing, MI need 85 off 36 balls.
