ENG vs NAM | Match Reduced To 11 Overs Per Side, Check Revised Playing Conditions

ENG vs NAM to begin at 1.30 am IST [X]ENG vs NAM to begin at 1.30 am IST [X]

In a significant development, the much-awaited T20 World Cup clash between England and Namibia is all set to begin at 1.30 am IST (4 PM local time) as the rain has finally eased out in Antigua.

After waiting for so long and inspecting the outfield multiple times, the match officials decided to start the proceedings. An incessant drizzle has resulted in the loss of eighteen overs as we will witness a shortened affair tonight at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua

As per the revised playing conditions, it will be an 11-over per side encounter, with toss scheduled at 1.10 am IST.

The powerplay will comprise three overs, while only one bowler can bowl a maximum of three overs.

This match holds significant importance for England as they desperately need a win to stay alive in the tournament. Had the game been abandoned, England would've suffered a group-stage elimination as Scotland are placed second to Australia with five points.

However, as the game will be conducted, the Englishmen must be keen to secure a victory and make the next match a must-win for Scotland.
