The highly anticipated Champions Trophy clash between Australia and England has kicked off at the Gaddafi Stadium on February 22. Australian skipper Steve Smith won the toss and chose to bowl first.
Explaining his decision at the toss, Smith said:
"We are going to have a bowl. Looks a pretty good surface. There was a bit of dew in the evening, when we were training. So we will have a bowl. "
On the other hand, England captain Jos Buttler revealed that they wanted to bat first.
"Yeah, we would have batted first as well. Was 50-50. But it looks a good surface. (On announcing XI two days ago) We are not hiding anything. We are confident in the guys and we are really excited for the game."
