Sanju Samson's Rajasthan Royals (RR) suffered a defeat in the last over against Mumbai Indians (MI) as Tim David smacked three sixes on the trot against Jason Holder to seal the game by six wickets.

RR batted first and posted 212 on the board after a sensational knock from Yashasvi Jaiswal who brought up his first century in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as he struck 124 from just 62 balls. However, MI didn't put their guns down and ensured that they stayed there till the end to pull off an incredible chase.

Samson in post-match presentation praised Jaiswal for his gutsy innings and said that he ended up on the wrong side. Also, the right-hander was pleased with his side's effort in the tournament until now as they have done incredibly well so far both with bat and ball presenting their high standards.

"Yeah, absolutely we were discussing in the timeout, the way Surya was batting in the middle, we discussed getting him out quickly. In the end, Tim David took them over the line. Yeah, it was getting a bit wet, we are wiping the ball. Yeah, have experienced bowlers bowling in this situation. Absolutely, in the last 9 games we played, we did pretty well, nothing to take away from our players they have been good, and they have shown high standards. Yeah, Yashasvi played a magnificent inning but unfortunately, it ended on the wrong side but very happy for him personally."

After this loss, Royals will look to bounce back against Gujarat Titans on 5th May at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
