The CSA T20 Challenge 2022 season continued on October 20 with two matches in Potchefstroom. Here is a look at the highlights from both those fixtures.

Western Province vs Knights

Knights pummelled the Western Province by nine wickets to register their opening points of the season. They dusted out the Western Province batters for just 116 upfront, off the back of Gerald Coetzee’s four-fer.

Later, the Knights chased down the total with more than six overs to spare. Opener Gihahn Cloete remained unbeaten till the end with a fine half-century, listing a boundary-laden 68 in the second innings.

Warriors’ vs Boland

The Warriors edged past Boland in a final-over thriller at Potchefstroom in match number eight of the CSA T20 Challenge 2022 season.

Jordan Hermann and Matthew Breetzke charted rapid half-centuries, while Beyers Swanepoel clubbed a 10-ball 22* to power the Warriors’ total to 165-4.

Boland’s Janneman Malan anchored the run-chase till the end by whacking an unbeaten 68 in the innings. However, the opening batter struggled to get going in the final over, and the team eventually fell short of the Warriors’ total by three runs.
