Suryakumar Yadav is perhaps the best T20 batter in the world and in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, he has taken the word "consistency" to a different level altogether. Prior to the match Vs Gujarat Titans, SKY had 11 scores of 25-plus in the league, and broke the record set by Robin Uthappa.

However, during the course of the match Vs Shubman Gill's GT, SKY smashed yet another score of 25-plus and with that, he entered an elite list of T20 batters.

SKY surpasses Aussie great in special T20 record

This was his 12th consecutive score of 25-plus in T20s, and he surpassed Aussie great, Brad Hodge, who had 11 scores of 25-plus to his name. Interestingly, SKY sits at the second position in this list as the top spot belongs to South African Test captain, Temba Bavuma with 13 such scores. The remarkable consistency of the MI star ranks the second best amongst some of the cleanest strikers of the ball.

Bavuma leads the list, and SKY now sits at the second place with Brad Hodge at third with 11 25-plus scores.

Jacques Rudolph and Kumar Sangakkara occupy the 4th and 5th spot. In the next match, SKY has a golden chance to equal Bavuma's record and perhaps even surpass it in the ongoing season.

SKY, crossed the 25-run mark, but R Sai Kishore had the last laugh as the GT bowler dismissed the MI batter for a 24-ball 35, and it was followed by the Will Jacks wicket as GT crawled back in the contest.
