Corbin Bosch guides Barbados Royals to a 6-wicket win against Lucia Kings

Barbados Royal's juggernaut rolled on as they have now registered their fourth consecutive win in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League to consolidate their position at the top of the table.  

The Royals rode on Corbin Bosch's astounding knock to steamroll Saint Lucia Kings by six wickets on Friday, September 9 at Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium. 

Chasing the victory target of 170 runs, Bosch notched up a well-paced 50-ball 81-run knock while skipper David Miller stacked an unbeaten 29 off 18 to help his side reach the set target with six wickets in hand and nine balls to spare.

Tim David's batting brilliance rescued Lucia Kings' inning

Earlier, Tim David starred with the willow as he took Saint Lucia Kings to a competitive total at the end of the first inning. The Singapore hard-hitting all-rounder smoked four boundaries, and two monstrous sixes to score 40 runs from just 23 deliveries.

The Swashbuckling right-handed batter forged a crucial 79-run partnership with David Wiese, who struck some lusty blows at the backend and remained unbeaten on 28 from 21 deliveries to help Lucia Kings post 169 for six in their allotted 20 overs.  

The right-arm spinner Hayden Walsh was the most impactful bowler for Barbados Royals, having picked up two wickets while conceding just 19 runs in his four overs' spell. 

What's to follow? 

Saint Lucia Kings will be up against Guyana Amazon Warriors in their next match, set to be played on Sunday, September 11. As for the Barbados Royals, the league leaders will cross swords with Jamaica Tallawahs in their next encounter.
