Zimbabwe and Afghanistan are up against each other in the one-off Test at the Harare Sports Club. The pitch and conditions in Harare are pace-friendly, and Zimbabwean bowlers made great use of it after their captain decided to bowl first at the toss.

Afghanistan have been bowled out for just 127 runs in the first innings, and Brad Evans bagged a five-wicket haul. Along with Evans, Blessing Muzarabani also bowled well and grabbed three crucial scalps. It has taken him to the top position in the leading wicket-takers list of Test cricket in 2025. The pacer has surpassed Mohammed Siraj of India, who has 37 wickets, while the Zimbabwean pacer now has 39 wickets.

Blessing Muzarabani's consistency takes him to the top position

Muzarabani has picked 39 wickets in 10 Test matches at an average of 27.64 and a strike-rate of 44.2. He has also grabbed three five-wicket hauls and has been a pillar of Zimbabwe's bowling attack. The second in the list, Mohammed Siraj, did brilliantly in England and also had a decent outing against the West Indies at home.

  • 37 - Mohammed Siraj (India)
  • 29 - Mitchell Starc (Australia)
