Adelaide Strikers grabbed its fifth win of the season as Chris Lynn blasted an unbeaten 37-ball 69 against Melbourne Renegades. As a result, they have beaten the team in red by 20 runs and jumped to the third spot in the points table.

Apart from Lynn- Matthew Short, Adam Hose and Colin de Grandhomme played fine cameos as the home team posted 202 for 4 in the first innings.

Not only Adelaide's batters contributed heavily, but their bowlers also stepped up to defend it successfully. Short and Wes Agar scalped two wickets each as the target remained out of reach for the Renegades.

Chasing a mammoth 203, the Renegades didn’t have the best of the starts. They lost Marcus Harris and Martin Guptill inside the sixth over. However, Sam Harper played beautifully at the other end. He alongside Jonathan Wells led the recovery work for Melbourne.

Through the course of it, Harper brought up his fifty by playing some some strokes, but departed on a 36-ball 63. Wells fell while trying to up the ante.

Then Will Sutherland walked out to bat and hit some lusty blows, but the target was well out of reach and his departure on 31 off 14 balls meant that the Renegades fell short by 20 runs.

With this, they continue their dominance at their home.
