After a rain-truncated first One-Day International (ODI), hosts Bangladesh and India will lock horns on Wednesday in the second of the three-match series at the iconic Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Dhaka. The first match witnessed Bangladesh notch up their maiden ODI win over India, and take a 1-0 lead.
Team Preview
Bangladesh Women
Bangladesh displayed grit and determination, especially their bowlers, who defended a lowly 152. Spinner Rabeya Khan and pacer Marufa Akter strangled Indian batters for runs, picking up as many as seven wickets between them.
Skipper Nigar Sultana continued her good run with the bat and top-scored, while others got starts and faltered. Shorna Akter, who made her ODI debut in the first match, is likely to get replaced by Sobhana Mostary after the former picked up an injury.
India Women
India maintained their batting slump in the first ODI as well, as batters failed to chase down 153. Challenged with variable pitch conditions, the visitors failed to cash out on starts, and got out played.
Amanjot Kaur, and Devika Vaidya stood out in bowling, claiming six wickets between themselves, as other failed to provide pressure. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led XI will need to come up stronger and better, if they want to take the series into the third ODI on July 22.

Pitch Report
As has been the case on this tour, tracks have been slow and low, offering ample assistance to spinners. The surface at Mirpur is now different, where batters will find it difficult to score free-flowing runs, and will have to grind it out.
