Tanzid Hasan and Towhid Hridoy later managed to successfully complete the chase in 16 overs to go 1-0 in the five-game T20I series.

Notably, Bangladesh showed great resilience and grit in the absence of Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman, who is busy with IPL duties.

That being said, Zimbabwe is likely to fight back tomorrow, and hence, Bangladesh cannot lower its guards anytime soon.

Sikandar Raza was relieved of his IPL duties by Punjab Kings as he rejoined the Zimbabwe squad as the captain for the ongoing series. However, Raza was unable to contribute anything with the bat and went wicketless with the ball as well.

Strike pacer Blessing Muzarabani was good but needs support from the other end going forward into the series. 

The top order consisting of Craig Ervine and Sean Williamns were equally miserable in the series opener and they must take responsibility tomorrow to stage a fightback for Zimbabwe.

Overall, Zimbabwe, despite missing out on the T20 World Cup qualification, has enough firepower in the squad to topple Bangladesh. With a little more belief and confidence, things could fall into place for Zimbabwe.
