On Saturday, hosts Bangladesh will lock horns with India in the final ODI of the three-match series in Chattogram. 

Contrary to expectations, Bangladesh have already clinched the series, having won the first two ODIs, albeit by narrow margins. On the other hand, India will play for their pride, as a loss will hand them a three-nil whitewash. 

The ultimate outcomes of both games don't really indicate to what extent Bangladesh have been dependent on Mehidy Hasan Miraz in this series. They have won both matches, owing to Mehidy's batting masterclass. The right-handed batter sealed the first cliffhanger for the Tigers through his scintillating 38*-run cameo while hammering a memorable hundred in the second to power them to 271, rescuing them from a critical 69 for six. All in all, Mehidy has been the difference between the two sides. 

On the other hand, India have failed to cross the finish line, particularly with the ball, despite being in the driving seat in both encounters. They had Bangladesh down on the mat for 136 for nine but allowed the last batting pair to add 51 runs to seal a close win in the first ODI. Similarly, they didn't have a clue against Mahmudullah and Mehidy in the second game, letting them stitch a record 148-run stand for the seventh wicket. In short, they are still looking for a solution to Mehidy Hasan, who has emerged as the chief barrier between them and victory. Additionally, the veteran duo of Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan are yet to fire in the series. So, moving on to this face-off, the visitors would like their veterans to step up.
