Average Of 2.40! Nicholas Pooran's Unwanted Record Vs Mitchell Starc Continues

Nicholas Pooran is one of the most destructive batter in the Indian Premier League, and has a terrific record against almost all the bowlers, but if there is one IPL pacer who has Pooran's numbers in T20s, then it has to be Mitchell Starc. The Delhi Capitals speedster has made Pooran his bunny and it was evident during the clash between DC and LSG.

Starc dominates against Pooran

In the match, LSG openers gave a solid start and Pooran was expected to continue the good work coming in at number 3, however, Axar Patel, the DC captain made his best move as Starc came into the attack and dismissed the southpaw once again in the season.

With yet another dismissal, Pooran's average against Starc has gone down to a meagre 2.40, which solidifies Starc's domination.

As the table suggests, an average of 2.40 and just 12 runs in 7 matches shows Pooran's struggles against Starc. Even in the first match of the season between the two teams, the DC seamer bamboozled LSG batters' stumps and the trend continued in the ongoing clash as well.

LSG struggling after solid start

Put into bat, the LSG openers in Aiden Markram and Mitch Marsh added 87 runs and laid a strong foundation for the others. However, once Markram departed, things started to take U-turn as wickets tumbled at regular intervals and the LSG batters couldn't capitalise on the start provided by the openers.

At the moment, they are 139/4 inside 18 overs and need to get at-least 160 to put up a fight against a strong DC team.
