Twitter lavishes praise on Rahmanullah Gurbaz for his sensational knock

Promising Afghanistan batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz exhibited his incredible power-hitting skills for the second consecutive time against Sri Lanka in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022. Opening the batting, the stylish batter hammered his way through to a flamboyant 45-ball 84, before being dismissed by Asitha Fernando in the 16th over. 

Gurbaz went berserk in the powerplay and completed his fifty off just 22 balls. Fans and sports pages took to their twitter handles to heap praise on the talented batter for his breathtaking knock. 

Renowned cricket broadcaster Harsha Bhogle revealed that he was waiting to see Gurbaz bat and thanked the batter for not disappointing him. 

Some fans highlighted the talent in Afghanistan's batting unit and predicted them to nail ODI cricket in coming years. 

Some fans even went on to say that the openers from other countries should adopt Gurbaz's batting model in the powerplay. 

Gurbaz has been outstanding in the Asia Cup so far. The right-handed batter has provided solid starts to Afghanistan in every game, amassing 135 runs at a stupendous strike rate of 166.67.
