Arshdeep Singh has become the first Indian cricketer in history to complete 100 wickets in T20Is. The 26-year-old attained the feat during India’s Group A match of the 2025 Men’s T20 Asia Cup against Oman in Abu Dhabi.
The seasoned Indian seamer, sitting on a pile of 99 wickets, got rid of Oman number five Vinayak Shukla for just a single in the final over of the match to reach the landmark figure.

Arshdeep Singh picked up the 100th wicket of his T20I career, and his first of the ongoing 2025 Asia Cup by dismissing Oman number five Vinayak Shukla in match 12 of the tournament on Friday, September 19.
Playing his 64th match after ace speedster Jasprit Bumrah was rested from the playing XI, Arshdeep Singh claimed figures of 1-37 as Team India secured a comprehensive 21-run win.
Notably, the Punjab fast bowler defeated the likes of Yuzvendra Chahal (96 wickets) and active teammates Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah to become the first Indian cricketer in T20I history to complete 100 wickets. He is also the fastest pacer to 100 T20I Wickets.
Arshdeep Singh Journey To 100 T20I Wickets
Arshdeep Singh made his international debut back in July 2022 during a T20I series in England. The speedster started off his career with two match-winning wickets, and only went from strength to strength in the following years.
In mid-2024, the Punjab Kings superstar played a key role in India’s triumphant 2024 T20 World Cup journey in the West Indies, and even emerged as the highest wicket-taker of the tournament.
As of now, the T20I tally of Arshdeep Singh features a staggering haul of 100 wickets in 64 innings at an average of 18.49.
