During the toss Afghanistan Skipper, Hashmatullah Shahidi confirmed that Noor Ahmed is being dropped from this game instead Fazalhaq Farooqi comes in. On the other hand, the SL side led by Kusal Mendis saw Dimuth Karunaratne and Dushmantha Chameera come in for Kusal Perera and Lahiru Kumara respectively.
