Abhishek Sharma is a serious talent and he showcased it once again during the 5th T20I vs England at the Wankhede Stadium. He has always been touted as the future of the Indian cricket and often gets compared with his idol and former cricketer, Yuvraj Singh. However, on Sunday, he emulated his idol and went berserk against England.

On a brilliant batting surface, Abhishek smashed a 17-ball fifty vs England, which was the second fastest fifty by an Indian in T20Is. The fastest was scored by Yuvraj Singh (12 balls) which also came against England at the 2007 T20 World Cup.

India lost Sanju Samson early, but this didn't faze Abhishek who utilised the batting conditions and made a mockery of the English attack. It started raining sixes as the southpaw was at his imperial best and tore apart the English batter as he, alongside Tilak Varma added 100 runs inside 6 overs.

Courtesy of Abhishek Sharma's onslaught, India scored their 100 runs inside 6.3 overs, the fastest they have achieved the target in T20Is.

KL Rahul scored an 18-ball fifty Vs Scotland during the 2021 T20 World Cup, a tournament where India bowed out of group stage.

Suryakumar Yadav, the India captain, also scored a 18-ball fifty Vs South Africa, which came in 2022.
