Wicketkeeper-batter Noor ul Rahman announced himself as a devastating T20 force with a jaw-dropping century off just 40 balls for Amo Sharks in the Shpageeza Cricket League 2025. His brutal, unbeaten 115 runs demolished the Band-e-Amir Dragons' bowling attack and powered his side to a dominant 9-wicket victory at Kabul's Alokozay Ground on Wednesday.
Rahman, the 24-year-old, burst into the T20 scene this year during the Wahkhan National T20 Cup in June. With 8 T20 games to his name, the youngster boasts a strike rate of 116.34 as he plays the Shpageeza T20 2025 league.
Rahman's Blitzkrieg Hints Future Afghanistan Star
Rahman's innings was a masterclass in power-hitting, featuring 9 fours and a colossal 10 sixes, achieving a phenomenal strike rate of 267.44. He reached three figures in the 13th over, transforming what seemed a competitive chase into a one-man demolition derby. His assault provided a stunning breakout performance on the domestic stage.
With his carnage, Rahman now stands alongside names like Andre Russell, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Tim Seifert with his 40-ball ton in the T20 league. Notably, in Shpageeza, Rahman has played 3 matches so far, already piling up 125 runs at an average of 62.50 and a strike rate of 235.85.
Amo Sharks Devour Dragons' Total
Earlier, Band-e-Amir Dragons, opting to bat first, posted a respectable 180/5 in their 20 overs. Sediqullah Atal (75 off 52 balls) and Abdul Hadi (39* off 17) were the chief contributors. Sharafuddin Ashraf (2/41) was the most successful Amo Sharks bowler.
The Dragons' total, however, proved woefully inadequate against Rahman's onslaught. He shared a rapid 83-run opening stand with Imran Mir (46 off 20 balls) in just 5.4 overs. After Mir's dismissal, Rahman accelerated further, adding an unbroken 99 runs with Ijaz Ahmad Mehri (19*) in under 8 overs. Amo Sharks raced to 182/1 in a mere 13.5 overs, underlining the sheer dominance of Rahman's historic knock.
