9:37 PM IST | A decent score on the board from CSK! They kept losing wickets at regular intervals but Ruturaj Gaikwad delivered a classy knock from the other end. His 92 off 50 balls has took them to a score that they would be satisfied about but now need to bowl well to start off their campaign with a win.
Remember, Kane Williamson has injured his knee while trying to stop a maximum and it remains to be seen how the defending Champions Gujarat goes about their business here. They surely have the arsenal to chase this down.
It promises to be an entertaining second-half and let's hope for a nail-biter here to start off our IPL 2023 season...

That was some effort from Kane Williamson. He was fielding at deep mid-wicket and times the jump to perfection to catch that one. But while falling over the fence, he does well to throw it back on the field. But guess what? It bounced once before brushing the cushions. In doing all this, Williamson lands horribly on his knee. His landing goes wrong and he is down in pain. Four runs signaled by the TV umpire.

Hardik dives and fails to gather. Another left-arm pacer here and goes fuller just around the off. Had the batter not shimmied down, it would have been a fuller one. That is the class of the man from Maharashtra, Ruturaj Gaikwad as he smashes Hardik Pandya over long-off boundary for maximums. He looks in good touch now and won't be a problem for him to take the team to a good total.
