Just 24 hours remain for the biggest carnival of cricket, the Indian Premier League, to unfold, and, on the eve of the start of the 16th season, the captains of all the franchises came together for a photoshoot with the coveted trophy.
The season will get underway on March 31 at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, when defending champions Gujarat Titans lock horns with 4-time winners, and one of the most consistent teams of all times, the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings.

IPL 2023 promises to be bigger & better
For the first time since the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic, the Indian Premier League will return to the home-away format this year.
Since 2020, the IPL was either staged in the United Arab Emirates or in the managed bio-secure environment in a few select venues in the country.
Another addition which is likely to keep the fans intrigued this summer is the introduction of the "Impact Player" rule, which is certain to add a lot more colour to an already existing tournament.
