The Lanka T10 Super League 2024 has kicked off on a great note. On day one of the tournament we saw all the six teams in action over a span of three matches. Even though one of the games did not reach its completion, the other two games gave the viewers the thrills and excitements of a classic cricketing contest.

Like day one of the tournament, we will witness three games on day two. In the second game of the day and the fifth match of the tournament, the Galle Marvels (GM) will take on the Hambantota Bangla Tigers (HBT). This match will be played at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on 12th December at 6:15 PM IST.

The Galle Marvels have started their tournament with a brilliant show against the Kandy Bolts. They defeated the Bolts by seven wickets and as a result of the strong show are currently at the top of the points table. 

The Hambantota Bangla Tigers, on the other hand, are coming into this game on the back of a defeat against the Jaffna Titans. They faced a humiliating loss by eight wicket and as a result are currently at the second last position in the points table.

While the Marvels will look to win this game and solidify their position at the top of the table. The Tigers will be eager to bounce back with a strong show and climb up in the points table as soon as possible.

GM vs HBT Fantasy Expert Advice

The wicket at the Pallekele generally provides a balanced surface for cricket. It allows players of all trades to have a say in deciding the fate of the game. This was exactly what we witnessed on day one of the tournament. While 100 plus totals were put on the board by the batters, the bowlers who bowled the right areas and used the variations cleverly also got the benefits from the track. Notably, both the completed matches were won by the team chasing. So wait for the toss and pick more top order batters from the team batting second.
