We are heading to the final few days of the Big Bash League (BBL) league stage and the contests are getting intriguing with the qualification scenarios lined-up. Match 33 will see Adelaide Strikers and Hobart Hurricanes lock horns in a reverse fixture encounter after the former beat the Hurricanes a day back. The contest will take place at the Bellerive Oval, Hobart and slated to begin at 1:45 PM IST.

The Hurricanes are currently positioned sixth in the points table with just six points from eight matches. They need to win their remaining encounters, otherwise they may see the end of the road in BBL 13. Meanwhile, the Strikers are riding on the back of consecutive wins with the latest against the Hurricanes in the Adelaide Oval. They have seven points from eight games with recent triumphs against Perth Scorchers and the Canes. This is a very important game for both sides as a win will strengthen their chance for qualification.

HUR vs STR, Match 33- Toss Factor

The recent matches in the Bellerive Oval have recorded low-scoring contests between two teams. It is a good wicket for the bowlers while the batters need to spend a bit of time to get used to the surface. Albeit, run-scoring isn't that easy here. The strips generally assist both pacers and spinners on this ground.

Scenario: If Hobart Hurricanes field first

The Hurricanes have a good bowling unit that includes the likes of Nathan Ellis, Chris Jordan, and Riley Meredith. Although the latter was injured in the last game, it could be a possibility that he may not play. All-rounders like Nikhil Chaudhary and Tim David have also been valuable.

Scenario: If Adelaide Strikers field first

The Strikers have a very good top order with Matt Short and Chris Lynn in dream form. The addition of Alex Carey in the mix further bolstered the unit. They're a batting heavy side and won lost games on the domination of these names.

Scenario: If Hobart Hurricanes field first

Chris Jordan (HUR): The English All-rounder has been in good form in the last couple of games. He bagged a three-fer recently and has been playing some quickfire knocks with the bat in hand. Also, not to forget that Jordan is a tremendous fielder and can change the shape of the game with his three-dimensional skills.

Chris Lynn (STR): The veteran Australian batter has been in scintillating touch with the willow in hand. Lynn is the second-highest run-getter for his side and has racked up 30-plus runs in five out of the last six innings of BBL. He has been tearing apart the opposition bowlers in his new middle order role for the Strikers.

Scenario: If Adelaide Strikers field first

Ben McDermott (HUR): The wicketkeeper-batter found his groove back in the last game against the same opposition. He smashed a belligerent 61-ball 95* opening the batting and is their leading run-getter in the coveted tournament with 204 runs from six innings. If McDermott gets going he could be fearless with his approach.

Matt Short (STR): The MVP of the Strikers since the last couple of seasons has been Matthew Short. The All-rounder has been in some form with both bat and the ball and henceforth earned an Australian call-up as well. Short is the current leading run-scorer for the Adelaide-based franchise and can be useful with his finger spin in the Bellerive Oval conditions as well.

HUR vs STR, Match 33- Big Risk, Big Return Choices

Nathan Ellis (HUR): The Hurricanes captain has been a more matured bowler but hasn't picked up a plethora of wickets. However, he has been getting these important breakthroughs when needed. With a mastery in the art of bowling variations, Ellis could have a great outing in these conditions.
