India have already announced their squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. After a humiliating defeat in the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, the team will be eager to put in their best displays in the upcoming days and reinstate their status as a cricketing superpower.

The next big assignment for the team where they can prove themselves will be the Champions Trophy 2025. The team will take no less than a win from the tournament, and it was clear from a recent interaction of the Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma, with the audience in Wankhede Stadium.

Rohit Addresses The Entire Nation

Notably, the iconic Wankhede Stadium is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The night of the occasion was graced by some cricket legends like Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar. Besides the biggest names in world cricket, some of the brightest stars of Indian cricket like - Shreyas Iyer, Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane were also present.

During the star-studded function, there was a segment where Rohit Sharma interacted with the crowd present in the iconic stadium. The Indian skipper there promised the massive presence that the team would try everything in their power to bring the Champions Trophy back home. This won over everyone present there, and they were seen cheering loudly for their cricketing heroes.

Wankhede Awating Another Trophy Celebration

Notably, Wankhede has witnessed some of the legendary moments of Indian cricket. At this stadium, India defeated Sri Lanka in the 2011 ODI WC Final to break a jinx of 28 years. In the recent past, we have seen the Indian team celebrating in front of the entire nation at this stadium after winning the T20 World Cup 2024. So, the Wankhede crowd will await India winning the CT 2025 and coming to celebrate here.
