In a heartwarming display of sportsmanship, the Pakistan cricket team captured the attention of the internet with a generous gesture, presenting Christmas gifts to the Australian players during a practice session for the Boxing Day Test, scheduled to kickstart on December 26.

During the indoor practice session, the Pakistan players, led by captain Shan Masood and coaching staff, pleasantly surprised their Australian counterparts with Christmas gifts. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shared a heartening video of this interaction on social media.

In the video, the Pakistan team can be seen offering gifts and sweets to the Australian players and their families. Australia's captain, Pat Cummins, expressed his gratitude and admiration for the thoughtful gesture, noting the positive relationship between the two teams.

Earlier, the PCB announced a 12-member squad for the upcoming Boxing Day Test against Australia, with wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan replacing Sarfaraz Ahmed. The decision came after Sarfaraz Ahmed's challenging performance in the Perth Test, where he struggled with the bat and faced criticism for missed chances behind the stumps.

Fast-bowling all-rounder Faheem Ashraf lost his spot in the Playing XI, while pacers Mir Hamza and Hasan Ali were included in the 12-member squad.

Australia currently leads the three-match Test series 1-0 after a comprehensive 360-run victory in the series opener in Perth. The Pat Cummins-led Australian team will aim to continue the winning streak in the Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, while Pakistan's Shan Masood hopes to level the series.

The historic Melbourne Cricket Ground has witnessed 10 Test matches between the two teams, with Australia holding a superior record of six wins compared to Pakistan's two victories, while two matches ended in draws. Both teams will strive for improved performances with bat and ball as they compete in the second Test to determine the fate of the series.
