The BCCI has tightened the screws ahead of the Champions Trophy 2025 by dishing out a new 10-point guideline that leaves no room for extra luxuries. With players banned from bringing personal chefs, assistants or security staff on overseas tours, everyone, from the biggest stars to the newcomers, has to adjust incuding Virat Kohli.

But if there’s one man who knows how to work around a problem, it’s Virat Kohli. The Indian batting maestro may not have his personal chef in Dubai but he’s already figured out a way to stick to his preferred diet without breaking any rules.

With BCCI’s strict no-personal-chef rule in place, most players would have had no choice but to settle for the team’s meal plan. But Kohli doesn’t settle. he finds solutions.

As per a Times of India report, the moment Kohli arrived in Dubai, he had a quick word with the local team manager, who then arranged for a meal from a popular local restaurant. Instead of going against the rules, Kohli simply adapted, proving once again why he’s always one step ahead of the game.

While the rest of the squad was packing up their kits post-training, Kohli was spotted refueling with his food packet, even setting aside an extra box for later. If there’s a way, trust Kohli to find it.

What BCCI’s New Rules Say?

The BCCI’s updated policies are all about discipline and structure. As per the new BCCI rules, players can no longer bring personal staff unless specifically cleared by the board. The changes have already affected several members of the squad including head coach Gautam Gambhir who had to ask his personal assistant to stay in a different hotel.

Additionally, senior players like Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja were made to return to domestic cricket, playing in the Ranji Trophy to reinforce the board’s focus on strengthening India’s domestic circuit.

With off-field adjustments taken care of, the Men in Blue have now switched focus to preparations on the ground. The first practice session in Dubai saw Virat Kohli leading the charge by facing bowlers like Mohammed Shami and Arshdeep Singh in the nets.

With the Champions Trophy almmost here, the Indian squad is ramping up intensity ahead of their tournament opener against Bangladesh on February 20. But the real test for India squad for Champions Trophy 2025 will be on February 23 when Rohit Sharma's men locks horns with Pakistan in one of the most highly awaited fixtures of the tournament.
