Shreyas Iyer, Virat Kohli, and Shubman Gill were spotted visiting the British Raj restaurant in Torrensville ahead of the second ODI match against Australia. In a video that has been circulating on social media, several Indian players were seen stepping off the team bus in front of the Indian-themed restaurant.

Kohli, Gill headline star-studded visit to Indian restaurant

In footage released by 7News Adelaide, Virat Kohli was seen coming off the bus alongside Shreyas Iyer, Shubman Gill, Washington Sundar, and Nitish Kumar Reddy. Kohli sported a black full-sleeve shirt with grey track pants, while Shubman Gill donned a brown sweater layered over a t-shirt. Shreyas Iyer stood out in a bright red oversized sweatshirt.

According to the media outlet, the team enjoys visiting the restaurant before matches whenever they tour Australia. The establishment is known for its authentic Indian cuisine, offering a variety of curries, biryanis, tandoori dishes, and vegetarian options.

The restaurant’s interior also features framed photographs of cricketing personalities who have dined there, including pictures of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Before entering, Kohli greeted fans with a warm smile and a friendly wave as the players headed inside to enjoy their dinner.

Kohli ready to exploit Adelaide in 2nd ODI

Given that Kohli has been following a vegan diet for several years, it’s safe to assume he opted for the vegetarian options on the menu. However, despite his refined food choices, his start to the Australian tour was far from ideal.

The star batter was dismissed for a duck in the first ODI at Perth, his first-ever on Australian soil, and he will now look to bounce back and reclaim his dominance as India prepares for the second ODI at the Adelaide Oval, a venue where Kohli has traditionally thrived.
