It is vital to mention that Farhan first performed the celebration during the Super 4 clash against India on September 21. After scoring a gritty fifty, the batter came up with this celebration that mimicked firing a rifle into the air.
The ICC responded quickly, issuing Farhan a formal warning. At the same time, he refrained from repeating the act during the final on September 28, where he once again scored a half-century.
Fans across the border in Pakistan have praised the right-handed batter, and he has also received tremendous support. According to reports, he was also greeted with garlands and praise upon his return to Pakistan, with many lauding his aggressive and fearless approach against India.
Sahibzada Farhan's performance in Asia Cup
Farhan had an impressive performance in the Asia Cup 2025. He played 7 matches and made 217 runs at an average of 31.00 and a strike rate of 116.04. He also made two half-centuries, and this could be one of the most positive points for Pakistan in an otherwise disappointing campaign, where the team lost three matches to India, including the final on September 28, 2025.
