"I loved his aura": Deepak Chahar's sister on her 'WOW' moment meeting MS Dhoni

Chennai Super Kings' star fast bowler Deepak Chahar's sister, Malti Chahar, shared her experience of meeting the legendary Indian captain MS Dhoni for the first time. Talking to ANI about the meeting, Malti, who participated as a wild card entry in Bigg Boss 19, fondly called the World Cup-winning captain "Mahi Bhaiya".

Notably, Deepak Chahar shares a great bond with Dhoni. Their playful banter both on and off the field is often seen and appreciated.

Speaking about her first ever meeting with CSK captain Dhoni in 2018, Malti told she expressed her wish to meet the legend to his brother. In return, Deepak, playing for the IPL franchise took no time to introduce her to everyone's favourite Mahi. 

"I met Mahi Bhaiya for the first time when my brother was playing for CSK. He asked me if I wanted to meet Mahi. I said yes, why not? This was my first time meeting a cricketer."

While describing the details of the encounter, she added, 

"I had gone to Chennai for a shoot. The team was there too. That was in 2018. It was the first time I was meeting a cricketer, and it was Mahi Bhaiya. I really loved his aura. He is a very sweet person. He is a darling."

Who is Malti Chahar?

An actress, model, content creator, and filmmaker, Malti Chahar was born on November 15, 1990, in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. Besides being known as Indian cricketer Deepak Chahar's sister, Malti gained fame for her critically acclaimed role in the movie 'Genius'.

With over 1 million followers on Instagram, Malti is quite active on social media, sharing glimpses of her professional and personal life to engage her fans. She built a strong online presence and entered India's most talked-about and controversial reality TV show, Bigg Boss.

Joining as the second wild card in the 19th season, she has received praise for her strong personality and tactical acumen. 

Apart from that, in one of the other episodes, talking about her brother, Deepak, who has been out of international cricket for a while now, Malti mentioned that he was injured and couldn’t play for India in recent matches, but will soon make a comeback.
