Ahead of the fourth Test between England and India at Old Trafford on July 23, a unique crossover moment between cricket and football has stolen the spotlight. Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir meeting Manchester United coach Ruben Amorim has gone viral, following a lovely picture that is currently trending on social media.

Team India recently paid a visit to Manchester United’s training base in Carrington. Indian players got to meet United stars and coaches, exchanging jerseys and even playing a bit of football. 

A standout moment was Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj bowling to United defender Harry Maguire, a playful crossover moment, which was also shared by Adidas.

Gautam Gambhir Meets Manchester United’s Manager Ruben Amorim

Meanwhile, apart from the players, the bosses of both teams also united at Carrington. Indian’s head coach Gautam Gambhir posed with Man Utd’s manager Ruben Amorim for an iconic picture. 

Gambhir wore a Manchester United jersey, while Amorim proudly sported Team India’s Test kit. The caption “We are ‘United’” instantly caught fans’ attention, celebrating unity across sports.

The BCCI joined in by posting several pictures on social media with the caption “United in Manchester.” India captain Shubman Gill and vice-captain Rishabh Pant were seen enjoying a football session with Manchester United players. 

Gill was also spotted posing with Bruno Fernandes, while Jasprit Bumrah was seen chatting with Mason Mount and Harry Maguire. These moments were made possible by Adidas, which sponsors both Team India and Manchester United. 

India To Play 4th Test In Manchester

The break now ends for Team India as they gear up to face England in the 4th Test scheduled at Old Trafford on July 23. Injury woes continue to haunt the visitors, as Nitish Reddy will likely be ruled out due to a knee injury. 

Arshdeep Singh and Akash Deep are also reportedly nursing injuries, with workload pressure looming on Jasprit Bumrah. Amid such dire conditions, Gambhir and Gill appear to be in a serious fix to field a balanced and strong combination on the field for a must-win fourth Test.
