Last night, Indian fans celebrated as the Indian team hammered England by 150 runs, clinching a dominant 4-1 series win. As the match was going on, the iconic Wankhede Stadium marked some special attendance. Legendary Bollywood actor Aamir Khan was one of them.
As both sides were crossing swords at Wankhede some legendary Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, and even Aamir Khan were spotted watching the game with his sons. After the series win, Team India shared a video of Aamir reminiscing about thrilling Indian victories he’s witnessed at the iconic venue.
Aamir Khan Relives India’s Iconic Wins At Wankhede
With a 3-1 lead, India took on England at Wankhede Stadium in the series decider, outplaying the visitors in style. Some of the Bollywood celebrities graced the Wankhede Stadium with their presence and enjoyed some mad display of the Indian side. Aamir Khan also enjoyed the game with his sons and later reflected on his memories of Team India’s wins at Wankhede in a video.
“Whenever the Indian team is on the field, there is a feeling inside. Had I been a part of the Indian Cricket Team it would have been a matter of pride, no matter what position I would be in.” Aamir Khan said in the video.
In the 2011 World Cup final, the entire Bollywood gathered into Wankhede’s stand and witnessed Team India retaining the trophy after 28 years. Amir Khan was one of them. After the T20I match last night, Mr. Perfectionist reflected on that memory.
“I think my most memorable match would be the 2011 World Cup final, which India won, it was a special day for us and nobody would forget that.” Aamir said.
