Kolkata Knight Riders are all set to go through another stern test in IPL 2023 as they take on RCB at the M. Chinnaswamy. KKR have won only two games out of the seven played so far and have their backs against the wall going into the second half of the tournament. They do have some quality players though and it all depends how they can execute their skills on the match day.

Let us now look at the predicted playing XI of KKR for the game against RCB

Openers

Jason Roy and N Jagadeesan

Jason Roy is a dangerous batter and he showed it in the last game against CSK with a swashbuckling fifty despite coming lower down the order due to injury. He is all set to open against RCB while for N Jagadeesan, this could well be the last opportunity of the season if he fails to get going.

Venkatesh Iyer (If KKR bats second, he could come in as an Impact Player)

The left-hander has scored a century this season against MI but need to deliver more consistently for his side. He is a crucial player for KKR as the openers have not been at their best so far and in the high-scoring ground at M. Chinnaswamy, Iyer needs to fire.

Nitish Rana

Rana has played some sparkling knocks this season but has not been able to deliver consistently as a skipper. He need to take more responsibility with the bat and if he does that KKR's chances of getting over the line will improve drastically.

Rinku Singh

He has been KKR's poster boy this season. He smashed five sixes against GT in the last over and has also backed it up with some more quality knocks down the order. His big-hitting abilities will be much needed against RCB.

Andre Russell

The star all-rounder has not fired yet this season and it is high time, Russell finds his groove. He did play a decent knock against DC but he needs to bat up the order and bat with more responsibility as a senior player in the team.

David Wiese

The all-rounder was added in the playing XI in the last game and he is quite a good talent to have in the team. He can change the game both with the bat and ball and could well create a big impact against RCB.

Sunil Narine

Narine is still one of the best bowlers in KKR's line-up and his role will be crucial against Glenn Maxwell. He is also a powerful hitter of the ball but if he can create pressure with his bowling on Big 3 of RCB - Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell, his job will be more or less done.

Umesh Yadav

The right-arm pacer has bowled decently this season but has not been able to pick wickets regularly in the Powerplay like he did last time around. He is senior bowler and has the experience of bowling at M. Chinnaswamy which makes him an important asset for KKR this season.

Kulwant Khejroliya

The left-arm pacer has shown ability to bowl well at the death but this will be a big test for him at M. Chinnaswamy. He has done well in domestic circuit though and KKR would surely back him.

Varun Chakaravarthy

Varun has bowled with great byte this season and bowled beautifully this season. He has picked 10 wickets in 7 matches and along with Narine would be key bowler against RCB.
