The 2nd ODI of the three-match series between hosts Zimbabwe and Bangladesh will take place at the Harare Sports Club on Sunday (August 07).

Bangladesh's sedate approach with the bat in the 1st ODI came back to haunt them in the end as Zimbabwe, riding on sensational knocks from Sikandar Raza (135* off 109) and Innocent Kaia (110 off 122), proceeded to gun down their total of 307 runs with ease.

That Bangladesh posted just 303 despite still having eight wickets in their bank was a testimony to the lack of their openers displayed, especially skipper Tamim Iqbal.

Tamim scored a painstaking 88-ball 62, and along with Litton Das (81 off 89) took 25.4 overs to add 119 runs. The partnership was broken after Das retired hurt after he pulled a hamstring.

The middle-order-led by Anamul Haque (73 off 62) and Mushfiqur Rahim (52* off 29) did infuse some much wanted momentum to the innings but it was quite apparent that Bangladesh left at least 30-40 runs on the ground.

And, sensational knocks from Raza and Innocent proved that to the hilt as they went on to add 192 runs for the 4th wicket to seal a thrilling win.

Bangladesh will miss the services of injured opener Das in the remainder of the series and the home side will look to cash in on the advantage they've gained and seal the series on Sunday itself.
