With the sixteenth edition of the Indian Premier League all set to begin in March-end/April next year, there is expected to be a lot of questioning about the schedule. The news coming in is that the World Test Championship Final could be held from 7th to 11th June at the Oval with a reserve day attached, in case of weather conditions.

However, the IPL final is also slated to be held a week before the WTC Final which could be either of 28th May or 4th June, causing problems for the Indian camp if they book the berth for the summit clash.

The Indian side are stranded at fourth position with Australia, South Africa and Sri Lanka ahead of them on the points table. With two Test series remaining Bangladesh and Australia, it remains to be seen if they capitalise on the opportunities remaining.

Further, not just the Finals but the start of the tournament is also under the radar as Men in Blue's final international game before the cash-rich extravaganza will be against Australia on 22nd March. The tournament could be starting on 1st of April which potentially leaves the gap under 10 days.
