World Cup-bound Bangladesh squad hit by Covid-19

The Bangladesh women's cricket for the World Cup has been hit by the Covid-19 after a cricketer and two officials have tested positive. 

"A cricketer and two officials tested corona positive. They are in isolation and after eight days we will again have test and if they come out negative they will fly to New Zealand," BCB women's wing chairman Nadel Chowdhury confirmed to Cricbuzz.

The wicket-keeper Nuzhat Tasnia has been included as a traveling reserve in the squad as a precautionary measure. 

The side is slated to begin the campaign against South Africa on March 5, 2022, in Dunedin. The tournament is scheduled to commence on March 4 with New Zealand taking on West Indies in the opener.
