The English cricket team is set to embark on its first trip to Pakistan in 17 years. The tour will kick-off with a series of seven T20Is between September 20 and October 2 across Karachi and Lahore. The 20-overs matches will also serve as a testing ground for both sides ahead of the T20 World Cup in October.
Quite recently, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed that uncapped cricketers Will Jacks and Tom Helm will be part of the travelling party in Pakistan. The ECB is expected to unveil the entire squad for Pakistan series and the T20 World Cup on Friday, September 2.

Star opener Jason Roy is likely to miss out on the tour. However, his Surrey opening partner Jacks has been selected for the T20I leg in Pakistan.
Speedster Tom Helm has also earned a spot in the squad for his impressive run in this year’s The Hundred season.
Among the star attractions, cricketers like Liam Livingstone, Chris Jordan and Mark Wood are also likely to miss flight to Pakistan owing to their recent injuries.
Notably, England will make a return trip to Pakistan in December, for a three-match Test series. Earlier, senior pacer Stuart Broad expressed concerns over his availability for the Tests. As reported by the Evening Standard, his fiancée Mollie King is due to give birth before the end of the year.
