West Indies have continued their smashing form under the leadership of Rovman Powell with their highest ever T20I score by hammering 258 runs in the first innings of the second T20I between West Indies and South Africa. It is also the highest ever total at the SuperSport park, Centurion as the capacity crowd in the famous stadium were treated with some brutal hitting by the Windies batters.

Johnson Charles was the star of the show of this record-breaking performance from the Men in Maroon as he smashed 118 runs off just 46 balls. His century is the fastest by the West Indian as it came off just 39 balls breaking the previous record of Chris Gayle who scored his century in 47 balls. Charles also smashed 11 sixes on the way as West Indies ended with hitting 22 sixes in their innings which is the joint-highest ever in a T20I innings.

This is the fifth-highest total in the history of T20Is as West Indies lost 5 wickets in what was an absolute carnage at the SuperSport Park. Charles was ably supported by the likes of Kyle Mayers, Rovman Powell and Romario Shepherd while for South Africa, Marco Jansen and Wayne Parnell were the only wicket-takers.
