The Men in Blue will clash with the Windies on July 22 for their first ODI. The series starts off with a three-match ODI series, which will be followed by a five-match T20I series beginning on July 29. The last two T20I games will be moved to the United States of America. 


Senior players of the Indian squad - including skipper Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant - have been rested for the series. 


In their absence, opening batter Shikhar Dhawan is set to lead the squad in the ODI leg of the series. 


Sharma will come back to the lead in the T20Is, while Bumrah and Kohli will miss out on the tour. KL Rahul is also set to return to the T20Is, subject to fitness, following his injury ahead of the T20I series against South Africa.

  • Deepak Hooda: The batter has nailed his performances in the T20I format, scoring a 57-ball century against Ireland. 

  • Nicholas Pooran: The lone ranger in the Windies managed a half-century during a particular lean patch for the Caribbean men.
