WI vs BAN | 3rd T20I | Preview, Prediction, Probable XI & CREX XI

The third and final T20I between West Indies and Bangladesh gets underway on July 7 at the Providence Stadium in Guyana.

The hosts will look to notch up back-to-back wins and clinch the series 2-0, whereas the visitors will aim to register their first victory of the tour.

The second T20I witnessed a stellar show from the home side, as their hard-hitting batters cashed in on Bangladesh's lackluster bowling.

Skipper Nicholas Pooran, opener Brandon King, and the dynamic Rovman Powell looted runs for fun against the likes of Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam.

However, Pooran would still expect a little more consistency from his batters.

The Windies bowling unit spearheaded by Obed McCoy and Alzarri Joseph has been economical and disciplined.

Given the two-paced nature of the wickets at the venues, Romario Shepherd and Hayden Walsh have prospered, picking up five and three wickets, respectively, in the series.

With their upcoming series scheduled against the T20I powerhouses India at home, the final T20 provides a chance for the Windies' management to fine-tune minor inaccuracies.

On the other hand, Bangladesh have had an underwhelming tour this time.

The Bangladesh batters have failed to stay in the middle for a long time and have often looked to hit their way into form.

Apart from the veteran Shakib Al Hasan, who stood out with the bat in both games, senior pros like Liton Das and Mahmudullah would like to find some form heading into the One-Day International series.

Another concern for the Mahmudullah-led side has been the poor form of Mustafizur Rahman, who is struggling to pick wickets in overseas conditions.

Also, Taskin Ahmed, who recently made his international cricket, looked out of rhythm in the second match and would eye redemption.

The off-spinner Mahedi Hasan will again be expected to keep the power-hitter of the West Indian side under check along with Shakib.

A win for the Bangladesh team will give them confidence in the 50-over series, which will see the return of captain Tamim Iqbal and paceman Taijul Islam.

History at Guayana

West Indies have played 6 T20Is at the Providence Stadium, winning two and losing two, with two matches ending in no results.

Bangladesh are yet to play a 20-overs game in Guyana; however, they have a good track record, winning 2 out of their 3 ODIs here.

Pitch report

The track at Guyana has always been on the slower side, with a hint of assistance for the spinners. However, the fast bowlers are expected to get some assistance for a change due to the prevailing overcast conditions.

Teams batting first have won three times, while those chasing have won four T20Is at the venue. So the team winning the toss would probably elect to bowl first.
