Vitality Blast 2022| Surrey vs Yorkshire| 1st Quarterfinal Preview

The group stage of the Vitality T20 Blast is done, and the tournament is about to enter the business end.

The quarter-finals starting from today, will see eight teams locking horns with each other.

The eight teams qualified for the next stage are Surrey, Yorkshire Vikings, Birmingham Bears, Hampshire Hawks, Lancashire Lightning, Essex Eagles, Somerset and Derbyshire Falcons.

The first of the four quarter-finals will be played between Surrey and Yorkshire at the Kennington Oval on July 6 (Wednesday).

Surrey have been in blistering form throughout the group stage, winning 10 out of 14 matches, while Yorkshire made it through to the knockouts, winning 7 of their 14 games.

Both Surrey and Yorkshire consist of dynamic batting line-ups. So, we can expect the first quarter-final to be high-scoring as a decent batting track is expected at the Kennington Oval.

Further, the venue has witnessed several high-scoring games during the group stage matches, with teams generally opting to bowl first after winning the toss.
