Virat Kohli along with the rest of his Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) teammates have arrived in Ahmedabad for their upcoming IPL 2024 clash against hosts Gujarat Titans. A day prior to their much-awaited faceoff, the visiting RCB troops received a grand welcome at the team hotel.
Star attraction Virat Kohli was among those to receive a warm reception at the hotel, and the footage of the same recently went viral across social media.
Virat Kohli receives grand welcome at Ahmedabad hotel
Virat Kohli is set to reprise his role for the RCB franchise at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on April 28 with a match against hosts Gujarat Titans. A day prior to the contest, he and his colleagues were spotted setting their base in Ahmedabad by arriving at the team hotel.
Kohli, one of the star attractions of IPL 2024, received a grand reception as he was making his way to the team hotel on April 27.
Virat Kohli is currently the ‘Orange Cap’ holder of the IPL 2024 season. The cricketer has already tallied 430 runs from just nine innings so far at a splendid average of over 61, and is leading second-placed Sunil Narine by 73 runs.
Kohli recently punched out a sizzling half-century in a winning cause against an all-firing SRH unit at Hyderabad. The win marked RCB’s first in over a month, and only their second overall of the season.
Having secured just two wins from nine league fixtures, the Faf du Plessis-led RCB group is placed at the bottom of the IPL 2024 points table. They need to defeat Gujarat Titans at this stage of the tournament in a bid to climb up the ladder.
