India's much-anticipated West Indies tour is set to begin with the first Test at the Windsor park on the 12th. The two-match series holds significant importance for Team India, considering they are under transition in the purest format. However, although there are several exciting prospects in the Indian team, the eyes will be on legendary batter Virat Kohli, who will be keen to pile up some handy runs under his belt. 

Meanwhile, Kohli had a horrible outing in the practice match ahead of the first Test in Dominica. In a video doing rounds on social media, Kohli was seen edging a fourth-stump line delivery off Jaydev Unadkat straight to the slip fielder. Thus, the veteran batter had a miserable practice game, managing only three runs before gifting his wicket to Unadkat.

Meanwhile, Indian captain Rohit Sharma had a satisfactory practice game, as he raced his way through to a breezy 40-run knock before retiring out. He even smacked a cracking pull shot for a six off Unadkat's bowling. 

As per sources, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill also looked impressive during the warm-ups, managing quick-fire fifties. 

After the first Test, the Indian team will travel to Barbados for the decider, following which both teams will clash in three ODIs and five T20Is.
