After being thumped by South Africa, Team India has arrived in Paarl for the crucial third and final ODI scheduled for Thursday, December 21. This decisive match will determine the series winner as both teams are currently tied at 1-1.

Following a commanding eight-wicket victory in the first ODI, the Men in Blue experienced an equally emphatic eight-wicket loss in the second encounter at St. George's Park in Gqeberha on Tuesday.

Opting to bat first, India posted a subpar total of 211, with only Sai Sudharsan (62) and skipper KL Rahul (56) making significant contributions with the bat. Nandre Burger was the wrecker-in-chief for South Africa, claiming figures of 3/30.

Chasing 212, the Proteas got to the target easily, thanks to a formidable opening partnership of 130 runs. Reeza Hendricks contributed 51, and Tony de Zorzi went on to craft a century (119 off 122 balls) adorned with nine fours and six sixes.

As India gear up for the all-important third ODI match, the BCCI, through their official 'X' handle, has released a video of the team's arrival.

The Men in Blue will be banking on their top order to propel them towards an ODI series triumph on South African soil in the series' ultimate clash in Paarl.

While India emerged victorious in the first game, they faced a dominant South African side in the second encounter on Tuesday. In both matches, the opening pair of Ruturaj Gaikwad and B Sai Sudharsan failed to provide a solid foundation.

Despite the setback against the Proteas in the second ODI, the KL Rahul-led team India have a commendable track record in crunch situations, particularly in series deciders. With hopes of addressing their weaknesses, India holds the upper hand to secure victory in the game and claim the three-match ODI series.
