England secured a thrilling three-wicket win over Australia in the third Test of the 2023 Ashes series. With a nine-day gap between the third and its subsequent matches, both sides are currently enjoying the much-needed break before action resumes at Manchester’s Old Trafford Stadium.

A day prior to the Manchester Test, several English players were seen engaging themselves in a light-hearted football game session. While the teammates were just passing the ball around randomly towards each other, senior member Stuart Broad accidentally kicked the ball onto his own face during his turn.

Broad flaunts football skills, fails hilariously

In a video circulating on social media, Stuart Broad can be seen kicking the ball into his own face after he received it from one of the other players in attendance. The incident incited a laugh riot amongst his teammates, and the pacer himself saw the funny side of it.

In the meantime, Broad is set to turn up at Old Trafford for the fourth Test, as England aims to extend the fate of the series till the end of this month at The Oval.

After the first three matches, the 37-year-old has emerged as the leading wicket-taker of the series thus far with 16 scalps. Notably, he also extended his Test tally to 598 wickets, and is expected the reach the 600-threshold in Manchester.

Trailing 1-2 in the series, Ben Stokes and co. need to win the fourth Test in a bid to enforce a decider next week.
