Tendulkar also posted on Twitter, with a caption reading,“Grew up admiring one and had the opportunity of sharing the field with the other two. They laid the foundation with the 1983 victory, and I experienced the joy in 2011! Here’s to hoping the current squad brings it home in 2023!”

Additionally, Tendulkar was spotted receiving the blessing at Varanasi's Shri Kashi Vishwanath temple.

Spanning over 30 acres in Ganjari, Rajatalab, the Varanasi cricket stadium is poised to become a symbol of an architectural marvel. Its design takes inspiration from Lord Shiva, featuring crescent-shaped roof covers, floodlights resembling tridents, seating arrangements inspired by ghat steps, and a facade adorned with metallic sheets shaped like Bilvapatra leaves.

The Uttar Pradesh administration, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, allocated Rs 121 crore for the land acquisition required for the stadium, while the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to invest Rs 330 crore in its construction.

Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shashtri, and other former cricket players will join PM Narendra Modi today in Varanasi.
