During a conversation with skipper Mayank Agarwal, Rohan revealed that his celebration was indeed inspired by former Indian captain Virat Kohli, who executed it following his iconic hundred in Perth Test.
"Obviously, yes, but from the very first day I came here, I was thinking If I get a century, but how will I celebrate, thinking from the first day itself only the last day I got there. I planned that before; if I get a century, I will do that (Virat Kohli's "bat does the talking" celebration,)," he said.
Batting as an opener, the 25-year-old displayed great determination and skill, forming a remarkable 181-run partnership alongside his skipper Mayank Agarwal.
This impressive performance helped him cross the milestone of 300 runs in the 2023 Deodhar Trophy tournament. Kunnummal's century not only showcased his talent but also reflected his admiration for Virat Kohli's style and approach to the game.
