Former Australia batsman Michael Klinger showed up some fielding skills during the match between Melbourne Renegades and Brisbane Heat at the Docklands stadium. Klinger took a stunning catch behind the ropes.
The right-handed batsman has been a huge name in Australia’s domestic circuit. In 182 First-Class matches, he has scored more than 11000 runs at an average of 39. He has notched up 30 tons and 49 fifties during the course.
Apart from this, he is also an experienced customer in List A and T20 format. Having played 177 List A matches, Klinger has scored 7449 runs at an average of 49 while has amassed 5960 runs in 206 matches.
Klinger also represented Australia in three T20Is where he scored 143 runs at an average of 47.66.
Talking about the match, Brisbane beat Renegades by 26 runs. Heat handed a target of 174 runs to Melbourne and later bowled them out for 147. Harper scored a half-century for Renegades but his efforts went in vain. Earlier, riding on some brilliant batting from Chris Lynn and Marnus Labuschagne, Brisbane scored 173/5 in 20 overs. Lynn scored 52 while Labuschagne chipped in with 49 off 31. Gregory and Peirson remained unbeaten at 16 off 14 and 10 off 5 respectively.
The Heat are placed at the second last position while Renegades are bottom placed in the points table. Brisbane have 21 points from 12 matches while Renegades have 13 points from 12 games.
